How an accessory connects to each variant, from your documents.

A guide asks which product, which variant and which accessory, then gives the connection steps your documents set out, as numbered text on WhatsApp, Teams, web or email. Your team checks and publishes each guide.

The steps for this accessory, on this variant.

An installer terminates a cable in the terminal strip of an open control box with a screwdriver, with the wiring diagram open beside him.
A wiring chapter covers every accessory on every variant. A guide gives the installer the one combination in front of them.
  • It asks before it answers

Which product, which variant, which accessory. The steps that follow are the ones your document gives for that combination. Your team decides which combinations get a guide.

  • The steps arrive as text

Numbered steps on WhatsApp, Teams, web or email, in the words your team has checked against the document. Documents can also be attached to a product in Lingo.

  • Your team approves every step

Lingo drafts the guide from your document. Your team checks it against the source, warnings included, and publishes it.

  • A person can be asked for

At any point. Your team is notified by email and replies in the same WhatsApp conversation, with the earlier messages visible.

Your team decides how far each guide goes.

Your team chooses guide by guide. A guide can give the documented steps, a task can be left for your team to answer, or a guide can end by routing the installer to a person. The choice is yours for every task, including mains connections and anything connected to a safety circuit.

Before a guide is published, your team checks it against the manual, including that each warning is there and in the right place. Access can be limited to phone numbers you approve, so the guides reach the installers you choose.

Lingo works from what the installer tells it and gives the steps your documents set out, for trained installers working to your instructions. A person on your team is always one message away.

Questions manufacturers ask about wiring

Does the installer get the wiring diagram?

Guide steps are sent as numbered text. Documents such as a wiring diagram can be attached to the product in Lingo.

Can an installer send a photo of their wiring?

Yes. A photo sent in the conversation is kept with it. When the installer asks for a person, your team replies in the same conversation with the photo and the earlier messages in front of them.

What about accessories from other manufacturers?

A guide covers what your documents cover. If you document the connection for another maker’s accessory, your team can publish a guide for it. Any other question goes to your team in the same conversation.

Send us one installation manual.

We’ll convert it and show you your own guide in a 15-minute walkthrough.
