What an engineer is told at the panel should be what your manual says, checked by the people who wrote it. You send the installation, commissioning and maintenance manuals for a product, and Lingo drafts a guide for each task as a short sequence of questions and steps.

Your technical team checks every draft against the manual, corrects it and publishes it. Only a published guide is used to answer an engineer, and your team can edit or unpublish one at any time.

The questions your technical support line takes, answered from your manuals.

For extinguishant control panels, detection and release control, and kitchen, vehicle and local-application systems.

  • Fault and status indications

What an indication on the panel or status unit means, and the checks your manual lists for it, in the manual’s order.

  • Commissioning and handover

The commissioning sequence for a system, one stage at a time, through to the checks you require before handover.

  • Service and maintenance

The routine your manual sets for each service visit, for the product in front of the engineer.

  • The right procedure for the variant

Lingo asks which panel or system is fitted and the guide asks which variant, so the engineer gets the procedure written for it.

On WhatsApp, Teams, web or email, for your approved engineers.

  • Engineers you approve by phone number

Limit access to the trained distributors and installers you choose. Add numbers one at a time or import a list.

  • A person is one message away

An engineer can ask for a person at any point. Your team is notified by email and replies in the same WhatsApp conversation, with the earlier messages in front of them.

  • A record of every conversation

Each one is kept with the engineer’s name and number, the product and the guide used.

  • Your hours

Lingo answers at any time. You set the opening hours, holidays and out-of-hours message for your people.

Your team decides

Your team decides which procedures get a guide and which go straight to your technical team, for example work on the release circuit. Access can be limited to the engineers you approve. Lingo works from what the engineer reports at the panel, on the phone they already carry.

Questions fire suppression manufacturers ask

We already have a distributor portal and a training programme. What does Lingo add?

The portal holds the manuals and the training qualifies the engineer. Lingo handles the question that comes up at the panel afterwards. It asks which product is fitted, sends the checks from the guide your team published, and brings your technical team into the same conversation when the engineer asks.

What happens to a question no guide covers?

It goes to your technical team, who reply in the same WhatsApp conversation. They can then add the answer to the guide by editing it, so it is there for the next engineer.

Can it cover panels and systems we no longer sell?

Yes, where the manuals exist. Each product has its own guides, and the engineer is asked which product they have.

What does an engineer need?

WhatsApp, Teams, web or email. On WhatsApp they message your Lingo number from a phone number you have approved, and answer its questions.

How is it priced?

By the number of products you support, from £500 a month for five products. There is no setup fee and no limit on the number of engineers or conversations.
